Thought this wasn't about him, wtf? says one thing in public and spanks the blue dogs and says something different.
A telling episode recounted by Senate Finance ranking member Charles Grassley reveals the Obama administration might be more worried than they are letting on that a Republican senator's comparison of the healthcare overhaul to Waterloo might be dangerously close to the truth.
Grassley said he spoke with a Democratic House member last week who shared Obama's bleak reaction during a private meeting to reports that some factions of House Democrats were lining up to stall or even take down the overhaul unless leaders made major changes.
"Let's just lay everything on the table," Grassley said. "A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn't going to pass if there weren't some changes made ... and the president says, 'You're going to destroy my presidency.' "
The White House did not respond to requests for comment
We bailed out the banks, why aren't they making loans? The TARP payback should go back to the Treasury to reduce the deficit, this money was not legislated for stimulus, take money out of the stimulus bill like it should of been in the first place. Besides forcing the banks to lend money is what got us into this subprime mess to start with.

On Jun 14th I blogged and stated that construction jobs in the stimulus bill would send money to Mexico and not the US economy. Today an article USA Today confirms what I stated, as more of this money is released for road projects in the stimulus package, the more it will move South of our border and won't be fed into stimulating our economy. Instead of the Government deciding on how to spend the money they should of left it up to us, it could of been done through tax cuts for businesses, tax cuts for they middle class and below where we would of spent it on goods and services in this country, instead they are routing the money to capture a future voting block that they are talking about giving amnesty and as a result they sending our money out of the country. Don't anybody be fooled the tax cut everyone received that they are talking about was in current withholding rates, come April 15th your tax rate is still the same, better be saving the money they are letting you have now because in less than a year you have to give it back. The nearly 2 billion dollars sent to Mexico last year could of been spent here stimulating our economy.
The USA Today article: http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-07-09-mexico_N.htm?csp=usat.me
Although the article is written to make you feel sorry for Mexico suffering for our bad economy it proves my point.
The FDA doesn't regulate tap water the EPA does, the EPA also states bottled water must meet the same standards as tap water. The FDA standards are actually more stringent then the EPA standards which means to me it is probably safer. Why is congress going after bottled water? This is just more fawning over envronmentalist and special interests who favor the environment over human life and local governments pissed over loss of revenue over lost municple water sales. How many of you have ever lived through boil your tap water notices? I have. I can remember within the last decade having to take laundry to a different city to wash because of the brown water we were supplied during heavy rains in Oregon. You had to after boiling it let the sit as solids settled and then dip the water from the top to consume it. I don't care how much municipul water is treated it still has to go through delivery systems that contaminant the water. Take a serious look and read the following study then tell congress focus on real issues
I'm not a scientist, but I contend that an overly energy efficient house would cause Radon levels to rise,-of course you could install a system that has a fresh air exchange, but that would defeat the energy efficiency of the home. Radon is the 2nd highest cause of lung cancer in the US. Raising the incident of cancers I guess would clean up the environment. We all must sacrifice for the environment, or so we've been told. The following is taken right from a government web site.
What is radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. It is produced in the ground through the normal decay of uranium and radium. As it decays, radon produces new radioactive elements called radon daughters or decay products. Radon and radon daughters cannot be detected by human senses because they are colorless, odorless, and tasteless.
Where does radon come from?
Radon originates in the ground and can be found in soil and rocks. As with any gas, radon diffuses as it flows along the path of least resistance to the surface of the ground before entering the atmosphere. Once it enters the atmosphere, radon becomes diluted in the outdoor air and concentrations are so low that it is of minor concern.
Since it is a gas, radon can also move into any air space, such as basements, crawl spaces, or caves. Once inside an enclosed space, such as a home, radon can accumulate. For this reason, indoor concentrations are usually higher than those found outdoors. Houses with little air exchange because of improvements to prevent heat loss will generally have higher indoor radon levels than draftier houses
President Obama didn't want to meddle in Iran's affairs with just words of support for the people there that were being put down for demanding a voice in their government, for the insinuation that we need to take the safe route to encourage dialog with the current regime over nuclear capability, a current government that by the way is sending arms and personal to Iraq in an attempt to destabilize it and for use against our service members and finances terrorism to the detriment of our national interest. But it does not surprise me, To support the people of Iran who are seeking freedom from government domination goes against all the principles the current government stands for, he does not have the desire to listen to any other opinions either if it conflicts with the thought that the people and free markets should decide how to run our lives and provide for a sound economy and not the government, he literally belittles those opinions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Geewdx_OwOw&feature=player_embedded. his policies even have the envy of socialistic dictators who are beginning to admire him http://www.reuters.com/article/ObamaEconomy/idUSTRE5520GX20090603?feedType=RSS&feedName=ObamaEconomy&virtualBrandChannel=10441 and our own governments are even subverting our rights to assemble under the 1st amendment to the constitution: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1630576/rutland_vermont_board_of_aldermen_denies.html?cat=11 to acknowledge their concerns would undermine his position of larger government that is needed to right past wrongs and provide equal outcomes to all people. Shortly there after he comes out in support along with Hugo Chavez: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090629/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_honduras_coup for a want to be dictator who unlawfully tried to change the constitution of Honduras and was so intent on it he started firing his military officials who chose to support their constitution by refusing to put out ballot boxes for a referendum to change the constitution so he could remain in power: http://www.worldbulletin.net/news_detail.php?id=43921 (I also want you to take note that something simular has been submitted in congress to repeal Presidential Term Limits here in this country http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-hj5/text ) of course he would support the ousted President, he raised minimum wages, and blamed the poor's problems on the rich, and takes many of the same positions he and the majority of congress has. It is time for all of us to wake up before it is too late.

As I think back to Oct 07 when air strikes saved a number of soldiers lives during operation rock avalanche (one of them being my son) while on the same day the president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan made a call to quit airstrikes(http://www.reuters.com/article/featuredCrisis/idUSN25197494). I question the policy to reduce them. If the population was not harboring the insurgents they wouldn't be in the blast area. Instead we will risk our soldiers lives and give the insurgents a safe haven. We need to quit being pussies and fight a war with sufficient troops and equipment to do it. Fuck it's not like the carpet bombing of WWII, as long as the population harbors these guys they are going to get caught in the crossfire and I'm not so sure that saving them should even be an issue as they are collaborating and conspiring with the enemy and deserve what they get. Shit they have their own kids run around with radios informing the Taliban of movements of our soldiers and if they get caught up in something we are to blame. I call bullshit. Instead we will say we are sorry and at fault and fuck us and our troops. I'm getting tired of this shit and can't agree to pulling our troops teeth and still expecting them to chew the meat. No doubt in my mind this General is only following orders or he can go they way of his predecessor http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30685277/. Our troops are going to pay for this in blood.
I heard on the news how the $250.00 going out to social security recipients' and VA disabled will have an immediate impact on our economy, the administration is only informing us of half truths, the fact is that any VA disability payments for conditions rated at less than 50% have to be taken from a military retiree's pay. Approximately 450,000 military retirees' are in this category. The $250.00 one time payment is for being VA disabled and as I understand it will be taken from my retirement dollar for dollar. This is not going to stimulate the economy, in one even transaction the money is given to me and taken back, it moved from one government agency to another. The tax dollars really are not being spent, just moved from department to department in a shell game and sold to the public as what a great favor they are doing all of us.
